I’ve been tagged with a meme by Daismeliadorn :-) and I am to list 10 things that hitherto people probably didn’t know about me:

1. Whenever I swim in the sea I have this thing where I have to do a backward somersault. It’s a compulsion. If there are a lot of people around I will do a subtle backwards somersault

2. When I was seven I ran away from home after I had an argument with my mum over a Mr Men book. But I got attacked by magpies and my mum found me face down in the mud crying

3. I don’t have a mobile phone or a microwave because I don’t like them

4. I have a dicky right knee because when I was a girl I used to stand with my legs at 45 degree angles so people thought I did ballet. There were no ballet classes in my town

5. I don’t like team work

6. One of my favourite books as a child was The Coral Island by RM.Ballantyne. I really wanted to be shipwrecked after reading it

7. I don’t believe in God but I do believe in ghosts in a quantum physics-ey way

8. I don’t know my 4, 6, 7, 8, & 9 times tables. My parents are teachers

9. I used a typewriter for my first degree and I didn’t have a computer until the year 2000

10. I don’t like wind chimes

I’m not going to tag the same people I tagged last time because I don’t want to be annoying. I’m tagging 3 people this time:

Mad Cat Lady

Lill Rambler

Rob

you believe in ghosts in a quantum physics-y kind of way?? what does that mean?

i love the one about pretending to do ballet. i used to tap my fingers on my folder while waiting for the train so that people would think i played piano.

Actually I don’t know what it means Daisk. I was kind of hoping no one would ask me to explain

I’m glad I know these new things about you. More evidence of your endearing quirkiness.

    i feel cheated :(
you lied to me about quantum physics!

No it’s more that it’s difficult to explain and I don’t feel qualified

Wind Chimes are a bit creepy.

There was this film I was watching when I was a kid. It was Rebecca or some Hitchcock thing.
Anyway, our heroine knew that somebody evil had entered the room cos the windchime by the curtain started tinkling. HELP!

Oh they just irritate me. Every time there’s the slightest breeze they make a horrible racket

    What?

You mean they manufacture cheap tennis accoutrements?

    They must be Chinese.

Back to the ghosts and quantum physics; do you mean in a kind of echo of strong emotion type way, or a time can bend kind of way?

Do you just think it sounds feasible, or was your house built on an ancient burial site and freaky stuff happens to you all the time?

Many questions I know, but you’ve got me all curious now.

Thanks for the tag also - was feeling particularly uninspired.

I suppose Rob I am thinking that there is something essentially weird and spooky ‘out there’ but I believe that something scientific will one day be able to explain it. Quantum physics seems to be able to cope with weirdness whether it is something to do with quantum consciousness or bending time or other-dimensional freaky stuff or who knows what

The answer is somewhere out there in all that theoretical gloop
