So Doctor Who’s daughter really is Doctor Who’s daughter, that is the daughter of the actor (Peter Davison) who played the Fifth Doctor. Which is why she looks like him and nothing like her supposedly real dad, the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)
So when she died why didn’t she regenerate? Who would want to be stuck in her petite blond gymnast Time Lord body anyway? She probably didn’t die because Time Lords are able to renew themselves when almost mortally wounded and I suppose being shot through one heart when you’ve got two is not fully mortally wounded. Therefore there was no regeneration

My theory was that the creation of daughter was similar to a regeneration and that is why they did that shot of the doctor’s hand that got cut off, but which the doctor was able to regenerate because it happened within the first 24hours of regeneration - or something like that.
I would have preferred to have a double episode or something for this - to lend it gravitas - since they seem to be preparing for a spin off or for after the doctor has had all his thirteen regnerations.
I’ve been thinking too much about this haven’t I?
But just think - it means ‘I’ could BE Dr Who or something close to it, instead of a companion!!!
My fantasies will never be the same again.

His hand got cut off?!! I thought they just took a few skin cells. No wonder he looked so uncomfortable
I didn’t know he only gets 13 regenerations. Oh my goodness! Looks like we’re going to be auditioning for the same part then

I suggest her death was a moral stand against the Timelords use of stemcells in the regeneration process.

now please - you obviously haven’t been paying due and proper attention. *ahem* when david tennant first became the doctor he was letting out gasses like that and then the aliens came with the blood magic controly thingy and tried to enslave the earth and then he got his hand chopped off and then in the torchwood spinoff series cutiepie whose name I have forgotten had the docs hand in a jar and now the doc has the hand in a jar in his tardis and they keep showing it nearly every episode.
and she is so not hot - she is a little blonde chipy - what they need is a slightly overweight brunette with glasses who knits her own scarves - I can make myself available at a moment’s notice.

I’m not sure I follow re: the hand in the jar
And personally I think I would be a lot more suitable for the role

*turns and tries to zap MCL but soon discovers sonic screwdriver/pen from the ABC shop only emits a UV light which is good for reading secret messages but not much good in this instance*

Squib was right to check whether MCL was still walking because MCL trips squib with scarf tied across path and then force feeds her with jellybabies until she is too fat to be dr who and has to make do with being a companion who gets eaten by Androgum.
