my adventures in switzerland: part five

June 30th, 2008 · 9 Comments

[If you’ve just tuned in to this exciting serial, this is about my time in Switzerland, written age 11 - hence the poor spelling which has vastly improved since then - after never having been there, Switzerland that is]

Just when you thought (hoped) there couldn’t possibly be any more instalments…

Day 12

I went exploring today and as I haven’t a camera I took some pencils and paper. I came upon a piturscue hut near the pines and decided to draw it.

…………………………………..

The man that lived in the hut came out after I’d finished and asked me in for a drink of milk from the goat. Luckily he could speak a fair bit of English.

When he saw my limp he queried about it and laughed when I told him the answer. He told me many interesting storys. It was nearing dark when i went back to the hotel. I am happy to report I’m halfway through my book. *

[Don’t miss the not-to-be-missed last episode!!]

*the book I was writing on this particular “trip”

Those mountains look familiar - oh right, Madonna’s pointy breast cones!

‘When he saw my limp he queried about it and laughed when I told him the answer.’

How sadistic of him to laugh at a young girl’s disability (no matter how temporary)

‘He told me many interesting storys.”

I’m sure he did … I’m sure he did.

I think he must have been Alm-Uncle. There’s a bit of Heidi plagiarism going on here

‘He told me many interesting storys.”

“But, of course, being the budding ranconteuse that I am, I’m not prepared to expand on this further!”

Oh yes! It’s all coming back to me now. You were wittering away Wart, drilling holes in the cheese, and Til was there too. She was the goat herder and we all did a folk dance with the goats

It was all a bit pagan really
