We’re finally launching our Spanish galleon The Dubloon this weekend. We have a chocolate bottle to smash across the bow but we have no idea what the protocol is. I mean what do you say when you launch a boat? Something really ingenious like ‘I hereby launch this boat’?
GrandpaSquib built the galleon using plans from this website in Tasmania but they only have pirate ship plans on there now. The design and materials were changed a fair bit in order to make it more solid. Yes, perhaps we went a bit overboard (’scuse the pun!)

The launch was called off due to bad weather so we will smoosh the chocolate very soon
