I love the poems, very good. I myself like to compose them too.

I had my taste buds all worked up for a nice choccy freddo. :-(

You are the tops Meredi! I miss our chats!

Good to see you Aten - listened to your music, glad you’ve been busy creating. I really enjoyed it.
I think it needed some lyrics about fire?

Have you been eating all the choccies from the Advent calendar shown above?

  • 8 LittleSquib // Dec 13, 2007 at 9:43 am

    That was me

    Hi Squib - I’m back
I know you missed me so I won’t even dream of asking.
Good to see the board is chugging along.
BTW - has your dog done something in the glass of milk on your front page?

Happy birthday squibby. Fancy sharing a birthday with Australia day. Perhaps there is some little ditty that you could write to commemorate this strange twist of fate.

  • 12 squib // Jan 26, 2008 at 9:47 am

Thanks, funny you should say that. I have commemorated it in my own little way

You is funny. Blog #7649 with a “poetry” tag on Blogflux, but well worth the search.

you just never know, do you.

She had to say something witty and in prose form every week for two years just to make it to here from “Poetry Blog #7654″

I love those kind of old photos. She looks like she could fly an airplane to a banquet.

Hey-ya Squib, you small but potent incendiary device, you.

Since I’m so new to Wordpress, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be commenting on your comment on my blog here or back on my own blog. (I’ll copy and paste this to my post just to be on the safe side.)

I see you are using the Cutline theme. That’s my 2nd choice. I went for the Bible Scholar. Some day those 3 top spots on my site should hopefully have image ads in them and I’ll have two cascading right sidebars to rival the balance of a moonbeam through an open window on a rare June night.

But for now I goes humbly, low upon the totem pole of Wordpressdom.

I figure if I get one new thing done everyday or two I’ll be kicking ass, or as John Cleese said to that American in the Waldorf Salad episode of Fawlty Towers, I’ll be smasing it’s backside (or something like that.)

    Good-night! Jannie

Thank you for the congrats. Yep. Every word from my very own little hand things.

I am boorishly shy though and now lack all of the guts to try to sell the thing.

I think I will start another and put this one away to rot somewhere. I am more frightened of it now than I was when I was at my second thousand words.

    Hey squib,

Love your words; The Seven Seas is my favourite so far.

And the ice-cream van goes up and down my street around 12 times a week… the horror, the horror.

  • 21 squib // Nov 27, 2008 at 8:04 am

    Hi Kettle

Thanks… I take it you don’t like Greensleeves?

  • 22 Kettle // Mar 12, 2009 at 3:14 pm

    Hi Ms Squib,

Hope you (and Daphne Silverspoon?) are having a productive break. Looking forward to your bloggy return!

    Cheers, Kettle.

Thanks Kettle, my good friend Squib will be back in a jiffy

you know what’s better than the ice cream van?
    the hot chip van
    or
the waffles and ice cream van
    or
just plain cadbury’s chocolate delivered to your door van.

ANY of those vans would be welcome to drive down past my house right about now!
